What payment methods can I accept with Tap?
With Tap, you can accept Visa and Mastercard payments, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Please note that American Express payments are currently not supported for Tap.
Which phones can I use Teya Tap on?
Teya Tap is compatible with the majority of Android phones. To use this feature, your device must be operating on Android version 12 or above and have NFC capability.
Is Teya Tap secure?
Yes, Teya Tap is a secure and reliable method for accepting payments through your smartphone.
Teya Tap technology uses encryption to protect payment data, and tokenization to ensure that the actual card number is never transmitted, making it useless if intercepted.
When your customers enter their PIN on your phone to complete a transaction, this information is also encrypted and kept safe.
Is there a limit to the transaction amount I can accept?
No, there is no limit to the amount you can accept with Teya Tap.
For transactions above 100£ made with physical cards, your customer will be prompted to securely enter their PIN on your phone. For transactions done with Apple and GooglePay, no PIN will be prompted on your phone.
How do I get started with Teya Tap?
If you're new to Teya, get started with one of our plans. If you're an existing Teya merchant, just log into the Teya app available for Android on GooglePlay with the e-mail you've registered with us.
Note that Tap will not be available for you yet, if you've set up multiple companies or stores with us.
How much does Teya Tap cost?
Teya Tap is a way to take payments that uses your smartphone as a card reader.
This means that you won’t need to purchase upfront or pay a subscription for a physical card reader, but you’ll rely on your smartphone instead.
If you're a Teya customer already accepting payments with a Teya card machine, the transaction fees for Teya Tap will be the same as those for your card machine.
