Disclaimer for Teya's online chat

Teya Iceland hf.’s (“Teya”) online chat is only intended for general inquiries and assistance to the Teya’s customers.  

Teya is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Any personal data shared in Teya´s online chat will only be processed to the extent necessary to provide the assistance requested, in accordance with Teya's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. 

Users of the online chat are advised to never send sensitive personal information of any kind through the online chat, for example passwords, financial information, or payment card information. 

Teya's staff cannot provide any kind of personal information through the online chat, such as financial information, payment card information or passwords. The information contained in the online chat may not be republished, distributed, reproduced, or copied in any way. It is also not permitted to publish illegal or indecent material in Teya's online chat. Any misuse by users of such kind in the chat may be subject to law. 

Under no circumstances will Teya be liable for damages that may result from information published, or provided, through the company's online chat, nor damages that can be traced directly or indirectly to the use of the company's online chat. Under no circumstances will Teya be liable for damages that may be directly or indirectly attributed to unavailability of the online chat for a short or long period of time. 

All communication that takes place in Teya's online chat is retained for a set period of time by Teya for security and surveillance purposes as well as for the benefit of network and information security, in accordance with the Privacy Policy referred to above. The user of Teya's online chat can request a transcript of the communication.
